Optimum Supply Chain Recruiters is led by partners Fran Chargar, Don Jacobson and Roger Zetter who, together, have over 75 years' experience in logistics recruiting.
Fran Chargar
Fran Chargar co-founded Logistics Horizons LLC with Roger Zetter. Prior to that, she spent 10 years in logistics recruiting at Hunt Ltd, a long-established personnel services firm. Before joining Hunt, she held numerous positions within The May Department Store organization. While at May, Fran developed the retailer's import program, and worked in the domestic logistics area as well.
Fran was part of a group that created the Mentoring Program for the Council of Supply Chain Professionals (CSCMP). She was President of the New York City Roundtable of CSCMP.
Don Jacobson
Don Jacobson was born and raised in New York City, and graduated with a B.A. degree in Management from the City University of New York. For 10 years, Don managed Operations and Supply Chain departments for consumer products companies. He then turned his attention to recruiting and for the past 27 years, has specialized in recruiting and placing supply chain executives throughout North America.
Don is certified by the National Association of Personnel Consultants. He was a Partner at Hunt Ltd., and more recently was the Founder and Managing Partner of LogiPros LLC, a logistics recruiting firm.
Don is a regular contributor of topical human resource articles for DC Velocity magazine, the CSCMP Supply Chain Comment, and The WERCSheet, published by the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC). He is Past President of the NY/NJ/CT chapter of WERC.
Roger Zetter
Roger Zetter co-founded Logistics Horizons LLC after spending more than 16 years in logistics management recruiting at Hunt Ltd. Before entering the logistics recruiting profession, Roger held several positions as a supply chain practitioner, including Director of Transportation at Burlington Industries.
Roger is a seasoned presenter at industry conferences, having spoken before the National Industrial Transportation League, the American Society of Transportation and Logistics, various CSCMP roundtables, and industry-specific logistics conferences. He is certified by the National Association of Personnel Consultants and has served as an officer on the New Jersey CSCMP Roundtable. Roger is a contributor to the CSCMP Quartarly Magazine

Robert Dittemer
Robert Dittemer - Robert has had an extensive career in logistics, transportation and supply chain management with both large and small companies. He comes to the supply chain staffing industry after serving as National Distribution Manager for Fuji Photo Film USA Inc.; National Distribution Manager for Del Laboratories Inc.; and Regional Distribution Manager for Thomas & Betts Corp.
Bob is a long time member of CSCMP, WERC and the International Customer Service Association (ICSA). He has served as President and Treasurer of the NY/CONN CSCMP Roundtable for more than 10 years.
A graduate of Seton Hall University with a B.A. in history, Bob also studied business administration at Northwestern University and Loyola University of Chicago.
Outside the office, Bob is a sailor and avid runner of all distances -- including marathons.
Jeff Galuten
Jeff Galuten, CPIM -- Jeff is Director of Optimum's Raleigh, NC office, and comes to Optimum from Logistics Horizons, where he spent three years.
Before shifting his focus to supply chain recruiting, Jeff worked extensively in the logistics and distribution field as a practitioner. He served as Associate Director, Distribution at Novartis; Logistics and Customer Service Manager at Colgate-Palmolive Co.; and National Inventory Manager at Kraft Foods Inc.
During his career, Jeff has worked in nearly every aspect of supply chain management, including research and development, new product production and introduction, materials management, production planning, warehousing, transportation and customer service. He understands the supply chain from raw materials sourcing all the way to customer delivery.
Jeff has a B.S. degree in Mathematics from the University of Vermont. He has been a member of APICS, the Association for Operations Management, for over 25 years, and has served as President and Executive Vice President of the organization. Jeff is a current member of CSCMP and an active participant in the Tar Heel CSCMP Roundtable.
Shelley Safian
Shelley Safian, MAOM/HSM -- Shelley comes to Optimum from LogiPros, and is responsible for Optimum's Longwood, FL office. Shelley received her M.A. degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix in 2002, and is an adjunct instructor at Central Florida College.
Shelley co-writes a regular column, entitled Labor Pool, for DC Velocity magazine, was a co-author of the Mentoring Workbook, produced for WERC. She also has had four books published by McGraw Hill.
Al Cheli
Al Cheli is in charge of special projects and new business development. Al brings to the table over 30 years of Retail Distribution and Human Resource Management experience.
